2026年1月4日の教会総会において、新しい教会の信仰告白を決議しました。
＜日本バプテスト連盟 花小金井キリスト教会 信仰告白＞
花小金井キリスト教会は、アメリカ南部バプテスト連盟から派遣されたアスキュー宣教師をはじめとする多くの祈りと献身によって、この地に建てられ、日本バプテスト連盟に加盟する教会として歩んできました。改めて、神によるこれまでの導きに感謝すると共に、私たちがこれから歩んでいくための信仰を、ここに告白します。
私たちは、天地のすべてをつくられた唯一の神を信じます。
私たちは、イエスが、神の御子であり、救い主であると信じます。
私たちは、聖霊なる神を信じます。
イエス・キリストは私たちの罪を負い、十字架にかけられて死に、墓に葬られました。しかし、三日目に復活され、今も生きて私たちと共に歩んでくださっています。私たちは、このことによって、死に定められた「からだ」が、十字架と共に滅び、イエス・キリストの復活と共に新たにされたことを信じます。
神が、御子をこの世に遣わされたのは、この世を裁くためではなく、すべての人が救われるためです。ですから、私たちは、あらゆる違いを乗り越え、敵も味方もなくなり、お互いの出会いと交わりを喜び、隣人として共に神の愛に応えて生きられるようになることを信じます。
そして、抑圧と不公平、差別と貧困、また命の危機に呻（うめ）いている、神がつくられたこの世界の只中に、今も、聖霊の助けがあることを信じます。
私たちは、この神の愛と恵みに応え、新たに生きる証として、一人ひとりが信仰を告白し、バプテスマを受けます。そして、主の日の礼拝をささげ、主の晩餐により自らを吟味し、互いの賜物を尊重し、平和を創り出す教会を目指します。
そして、イエス・キリストが再び来られるその日まで、主にある平和と人々の和解を願い、すべての「いのち」の尊厳が守られるように祈り、「神の国」への希望と確信を持ち、イエス・キリストに従っていきます。

At the church general meeting on January 4, 2026, we resolved to adopt a new statement of faith.
<Confession of Faith: Hanakoganei Christian Church, Japan Baptist Convention>
Hanakoganei Christian Church was established in this land through the prayers and dedication of many, including Missionary Askew sent by the Southern Baptist Convention (USA), and has journeyed as a member church of the Japan Baptist Convention. Once again, we express our gratitude for God’s guidance thus far and hereby confess the faith that will guide our future path.
We believe in the only one God, the Creator of all things in heaven and on earth.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and our Savior.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ took upon Himself our sins, was crucified and died, and was buried in a tomb. However, He rose again on the third day and is now living and walking with us. Through this, we believe that our “bodies” destined for death perished with the cross and were made new through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but so that all people might be saved. Therefore, we believe that we can transcend all differences, where there are no longer enemies or allies, and that we can rejoice in our encounters and fellowship with one another, living together as neighbors in response to God’s love.
Furthermore, we believe that the help of the Holy Spirit is present even now in the midst of this world created by God—a world groaning under oppression and injustice, discrimination and poverty, and threats to life.
In response to this love and grace of God, as a testimony of our new life, we each confess our faith and receive baptism. We commit ourselves to offering worship on the Lord’s Day, examining ourselves through the Lord’s Supper, respecting each other’s spiritual gifts, and striving to be a church that creates peace.
Until the day Jesus Christ comes again, we pray for peace in the Lord and for the reconciliation of all people. We pray that the dignity of all “life” may be protected, and with hope and conviction in the “Kingdom of God,” we follow Jesus Christ.

(Note) This Confession of Faith will be reviewed every three years and may be revised with the approval of the general meeting if necessary. The next review is scheduled for March 2029.
